BEIJING - The secret’s out about next week’s Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. Be ready for a dramatic countdown, giant whales, an illuminated globe and performers flying through the air like Peter Pan.

A South Korean television crew filmed a rehearsal of the show earlier this week at the massive Bird’s Nest national stadium, leaking the first video from a show so closely guarded that practice sessions have been protected by three rings of checkpoints. Cast and crew were required to sign confidentiality agreements.

A Beijing Olympics official said Thursday the report by South Korean broadcaster SBS, which was then circulated online, was “disappointing.” Sun Weide, spokesman for Beijing’s Olympic organizing committee, would not say whether SBS would be punished, only that officials were “checking into the situation

The Turkish prime minister can go F*CK himself! Muslims in Greece (only about 50% of them Turks) have multiplied five times since the Greek-Turkish war ended while the Greeks of Turkey, who lived there since 2,000 years before the Turks conquered the place, have shrunk from 300,000 to 2,000! The Muslims of Greece have special privileges, such as guaranteed acceptance to public supported Universities while the Greeks of Turkey have had their property confiscated without compensation! The islands of Imbros and Tenedos were 100% inhabited by Greeks at the end of WW1 and were supposed to have autonomy according to international treaties. However, the Turks turned them into "open prisons" dumping Anatolian criminals there who drove all Greeks out of their homes without any compensation. The Turks are SCUM and so are those who support them!

The Turks are doing this on purpose

Turkey and FYROM can go F off....The Turks are trying to wipe the Kurds off the planet. They shouldn't be making these kind of accusations.

They'd have a case if they were treating their Greek minority with respect. Too late for that though hey? In 1923 and further in 1955 they gave up any right to speak to Greece about minority issues.

Yes, because there actually was a Greek "minority".

Turkey should be the last to talk about minority issues. However, it is NOT true that the Muslim minority in Greece is not treated well, especially during the last two decades. The problem is that Turkey controls most members of this minority with their large embassy in Komotini and use it to blackmail Greece in other issues (e.g., Cyprus or the Aegean) and possibly take territory from Greece.

Yes but you see then Turkey would not attack Greece at this stage because after all the Greek opinion of a Turk is already so low because of the history of the two peoples. Same with other Europeans. If Turkey was to attack again they'd lose the west forever. Not only that but they put the Muslim minority at risk. Turkey has everything to lose while Greece can only gain from a Turkish attack or war on Greece.

How is it possible for Turkey to talk about human rights? Is there a word for "shame" in the Turkish lexicon?

Its upsolutely rediculous the Turkish Foreign Minister to talk about human rights, democracy, and minorities when Turkey has exterminated minorities such as the GREEKS who where 150.000 and now there are no more than 5000 in Instabul. The nerve of this man big that leaves logic people speechless. In contrast in Greece, a democratic country ,the Muslim Minority florishes and enjoys all the rights of an EU Citizen.Rights which are unthikable in the ''democratic'' Turkey. But that does not mean that they will be allowed to create a state within the state.

what a shame.Turkey talks about human rights and minority rights. The Turkish Foreign Minister forgets the extermination of the thousands of Greeks of Instabul, Tenedos and Imvros the imprisonment of Kurdish parliamentarians ,the severe opression of Greek,Kurdish and other minorities , the awful treatment of the Ecomenical Patriach who treat him as rubbish when in other countries is treated as Head of State. His behaviour is really cynical and audacious and does not fit to a FM whose country has the ambition to become an EU member in the next years or decades.

While using the word scum to describe all turks is unfair your response to his comment indicates you think its okay to have government organized against your minority citizens.

I met many nice Turkish people but I am sorry to say that Turkey has a very high % of extremist..
all countries have some but really is it not ridiculous to burn an effigy of the Patriarch.
This is tolerance that you show to minorities?

Greece has her extremist but the fact remains that the Muslim minority in Thrace does have rights and has multiplied since the treaty of Lausanne while the Greeks of Turkey have been expelled or forced to leave due the verlik tax in the 1940s and the pogroms of 1955.

Its one thing to be proud of a military victory its just pathetic to be proud of persecuting defenseless people.(State vs. State rather than State vs. a people group).
