This in all probability is what is known as a desmoid tumor. Not a dermoid cyst as mentioned in an previous post. Dermoid cysts can possess the compositions stated but primarily affect the neck, face and upper torso. A desmoid tumor on the other hand is predominantly found in the soft muscle tissues of the stomach, abdomen, etc. A desmoid tumor usually is simply cells; but on occasion can contain cells that have devloped into a fetuslike matter.
