You make some excellent points about Tiger Woods and his willful infidelities. I wonder if his rampant sexcapade had anything to do with wanting to validate his appeal to white women? He needs to see a shrink for long-time therapy.

Tiger Woods will never be the same on the golf course after this humiliation.

Who gives a rat's behind about Tiger and his mistresses?

I will never understand the average American's obsession with these so-called celebrities. If Tiger was the caddie no-one would care where he put his wood.

Why is it that people think that because someone is a celebrity they must be pure with no faults? In the article it says when will men ever learn well guess what, both sexes cheat. As a women it stinks to find out if the man in my life is cheating BUT I have known plenty of females that do the same. We can not blame one sex over the other its the person that cheats it does not matter male or female. No matter what the person on the other end is the one that ends up hurting. It is also no one business who is sleeping with who except for the individuals involved.

I said it once, I'll say it again.
Many successful Black men prefer White women. It is a "status symbol" for them to be with a White woman.
Oh, and Danette, women cheat practically just as much as men do. It takes two to tango.

Correct, and that's part of the self-hate of the race that'll always be difficult to shed. The worse type of racism is between the blacks themselves, with the lighter-skinned blacks being looked at more favorable among themselves.

The bizarre way that this drama came to public attention and how it has played out makes the story more newsworthy than most. Every day the number of women Tiger was "doing" increases. Tiger is an idiot if he thinks he could keep this lifestyle a secret for long.

Sad because of what he did or sad only because he didn't do it with a black women? You should be proud that HE is not obsessed with race and sees people as more than just black and white. Dr. King would be proud but no like Al Sharpton it's not what he did that is so wrong but who he did it with. I hope some day you can judge people as people not just by the color of their skin. That's really sad!

Who gives a rat's ass?

Considering the blogosphere has been rife with Tiger gossip for a couple weeks now, it seems, Chief, that hundreds of people do care -- or at least are curious. And in the same way that so many men are willing to forgive Tiger for his "transgressions," just as many people want to comment on those values they hold dear in our culture: respect and loyalty to a spouse, honesty to others, trustworthiness. Tiger now embodies the antithesis of these values.

And yes, no one would care where he put his wood if he was just a caddy. Then again, he isn't, is he? If he was just a caddy,no one would have admired his discipline and resolve, or ever have seen him as a role model to emulate. They also wouldn't feel deceived by the image he was so careful to project. There's a price to pay for a fall from public grace -- but he didn't really care about that, or he would've lived a wholesome life.

At last count, he was up to twelve. What next, a calendar?

With the connivance of many in the sports industry who apparently knew better, Tiger, or should we say "Cheetah?" marketed a completely different, "ninety nine and forty four one hundredths pure" persona. He set himself up for a fall, and that's why many people are disappointed.

Many in the black community were equally disappointed when he chose not to marry a black woman, so the obsession with the race of his love interest(s) is nothing new.

A San Francisco Chronicle sportswriter says that Tiger had an odd childhood of mostly playing golf and as a teen he did not date. So it seems that given the chance to interact with women, he's doing it and doing them.(I said the doing part. lol.)

I predict his wife will divorce him and within a short while he'll go back to playing golf.

Maybe Playball, but did you know Elin's mom is a three time divorcee? What's up with that?

If that's true, then Elin will get advice from her mom and the phone number of an attorney.

Well, the body count is now up to fourteen, including two porn stars but not including various high end (no pun intended) prostitutes.

Elin must be wondering just what little nasties he exposed himself to and brought home from his trysts. Perhaps that's why she filed for divorce.

It's a sad story when such an icon takes such a hard fall. Perhaps if the press had done their jobs years ago and not protected him so long, his behaviour might not have gotten so out of control.

Still, we must avoid the appearance of wallowing in our own schadenfreude in such a story.

As Tiger has shown Elin, it's tough to find a good man.

I don't understand? They can allowed Clinton to continue to be the president of the country, after knowing what he did in the office?!! and they have so many think to say about Tiger, a golfer, sportman? Did they count how many women Magic Johnson slept with?

What has Hilary got to say now?? She forgave her husband, can she say something for Tiger now??

Again, race has nothing to do with
Tiger cheating on his wife. The
greater concern is that he was/is
unable to keep his marital vows
and exposing his wife to all sexually
transmitted diseases everytime he
was unfaithful.

Exactly! His indiscretions have
nothing to do with race. Rather
the consequences. Infidelity is
the ultimate selfishness and is a gift
that keeps on giving, as in herpes.

That'd be correct. Tiger was a serious nerd who made it into Stanford. One day he awoke to find himself rich and chased by all kinds of white women.
