For considerably less money, John Deere could sponsor a blockbuster LPGA event the week of the men's British Open (an open week on the ladies tour). They would host no less than 90 of the top 100 women on the world money list...including Michelle Wie when/if she returns to form.

Despite the potential drop off in TV benefit of LPGA vs. PGA, which is debatable considering what a weak PGA field JDC routinely draws, John Deere's dealers and major customers would have a significantly more interesting pro-am experience with the likes of Annika, Juli, Se Ri, Karrie, Natalie, Morgan, Michelle and Lorena.

If you disagree, please provide me the list of male players in their current field that you could call out recognizably by their first names????

Why not become the BIGGEST ladies event rather than one of the PUNIEST men's events? The reaction to Wie in recent years shows the public interest is there locally for this to succeed.

Your right. I'm sure Wie is home right now wishing that she didn't withdrawal. Hell, she still wouldn't make the cut but she probably wouldn't come in last as she has been accoustomed to lately.

I have spent more time watching LPGA than the PGA. They play better golf and I can identify with some of the mistakes they make. They have had some exciting events in the last month.

The LPGA is exciting to watch. It's too bad the head of the LPGA has sold most of the TV rights to the Golf Channel and some other obscure TV channel, which I, along with many others, do not get. She did not come from a Merchandising background and with in 2-3 months after taking the helm 2-3 top officials left the PGA. I do not think that the LPGA plays better golf. If you put the men on an LPGA set-up they would set scoring records galore. It is two different worlds but, that being said, I watch/go to the LPGA whenever I can. I just enjoy watching their style of golf.

Hey Rich, what ever possessed you to move to Mexico, if it's money then you don't deserve the Golf Channel. I agree with you about the marketing of the LPGA.

Their are many reasons why I am here. The main reason is work(my drug smuggling bus.) You just can't trust anybody when money is involved. Even though Ocha is quite the thing in Mexico, Cablemas just won't pick up the Golf Channel. Same problem with NASCAR. We do not get NASCAR here except when it is on Fox or the other US channel. Since the other channel is not televising NASCAR--just TNT or ? we don't get it. Can't wait for the chase to begin so I can start watching again. Some things you just have to give up, for the time being anyway. There are other reasons for me living here but no sense getting into that right now. Another day, another story.

She also works and will retire in acouple of years with full benefites which includes FULL pay and medical coverage which is un-beatable--No cost and ANY medical procedure is FREE along with prescritions.
