To quote The Guess Who, "American woman gonna mess your mind." The LPGA Tour is one-third of the way through its season, and there has only been one American winner, with that lone victory coming in an unofficial event.

The American women have been struggling for many years now. The LPGA is not an American tour. The LPGA is located in the U S but half, or almost, of the tournaments are either played outside of the U S or sponsored by a foreign company. The LPGA is an International Company based in the U S. When Bivens signed exclusive T V contracts with foreign stations, especially So. Korea, she actually said that this makes the LPGA an International Company. So, what do you expect???? The foreign players, especially So. Korea, have a better work ethic than the U S players and until a U S player wakes up and realizes what the foreign players do to become winners, I don't have the slightest what they do, and gets with their program then, maybe, things will turn around. Look what the foreign players go through when they come over here--language barriers--strange food--travel to strange cities and, for the most part, few family/friends. Yet, when it is time to play they are their focusing on the tournament. What do the U S players have to worry about???--What sexy outfit to wear tomorrow. It will change but not with the current crop of U S players except, maybe, Wie and that is questionable.

Well, I think that the U S gals have been left in the dust for quite a number of years. Since the Rolex rankings came out no U S player has won. Before that no U S player has won the 'player of the year award' since 1994. No U S player has won the 'money award' since 1993. Of our current stars Creamer has the most wins, I think, with 8 in 5 years. Both Annika and Lorena have done that in one year. There is just something lacking in the U S players game/focus etc compared to the foreign players. Like I said, I think it will take a new crop of U S players, with a different mind set, to bring the U S to the top.
