You are kidding me, right? It is too late for April's Fools. Wouldn't the US rather want a player who knows how to win?(Instead of someone who is delusional). Just wondering.

They don't need her on that team. She hasn't shown she can handle preasure, and I don't beleive that she would be an asset to the team. There are much better players to choose from, and would be a boost for the team.

Hey, how do you know? LOL

I have won as many times in the LPGA as Wie has -- zero!

Just kidding. Yes, she is much better than me. Besides, I am the wrong gender for the LPGA. She is still delusional, though.

Question: How is she doing today at the US Open Qualifier? I hope she makes it. It is always fun when she plays at the events.

Michelle hyped, for sure. But, like it or not she draws fans and attention. And she really is a very good golfer as evidenced in recent tournaments. She is ready and deserving of prime time. If you haven't noticed with the disappearing LPGA events, the LPGA needs her badly.

Here is a quote from Daniels saying what she will be looking for in her two picks:

Daniel was captain Betsy King's assistant two years ago in Sweden. As a player, she was a member of U.S. Cup-winning teams in 1990, 1994, 1996, 2002 and 2005.

Daniel says she uses three criteria for choosing the right players. "First, how are they going to fit in with the team?" Daniel says. "Obviously you're not going to pick someone that everyone dislikes.

"Then you also look for someone who could potentially be a good partner for somebody who's already on the team, so their games mesh well together....
And then I'm looking at stats. I'm looking for someone who is playing really well going into that event."

It is not about star power to get the fans out! That won't be a problem. It is about the win!!!!
Wie would be considered if Daniels thinks she fits in one of the categories. which she does re.#2--Her and C. Kim are good friends and they might make a great team. Also, Wie is playing better than a lot of the top non-qualifiers so I would think there is a distinct possibility she will be picked. Remember, this really a team event so does she fit in or not. If so, is she playing at the top of her game when the time comes to pick the 2 remaining players?? Time will tell.

Also, here is a couple of side notes that will be considered---Wie is now 12th on the money list. If you take out the foreign players Wie would be 5th on the list. Wie is ranked 25th in the world of women golfers. If you take the foreign players off the Rolex list then Wie is ranked 7th. It will be pretty hard not to pick Wie. The only reason Wie is not on the qualifying list is that she did not play last year as a member of the LPGA. Wie is 16th on the Solheim Cup list and is having a better year than half of the players ahead of her so I would be surprised if Wie is not picked.
