When will the reporters know their place. They are so rude, really. Shouldn't they be considerate.?

Golf is not a sport!!

Michelle Wie herself said a few years back, and I don't know if she still does the same nowadays, but she once said "I don't even like to run"

What does that say about golfers??

And I'll give you two more words to prove my point:
John Daly

People think he's a great athlete??
LOL

Anyone think John Daly is in the same shape as Usain Bolt or any of the 100 meter and 200 meter Olypmic sprinters??

What does that say about golf??

Does anyone think someone like John Daly, in his shape, could compete in the 100 meter dash in the Olympics?

The sprinters are in WAY better physical shape than golfers. It's not even debatable.

John Daly?

Please, please, please, please explain how John Daly is an athlete!

John Daly can hit a small ball sitting on a tee 350 yards, accurately, virtually every time. Can you? Comparing track athletes to golfers is ridiculous, do you think those track athletes will still be doing what they are doing into their 80's? Golfers, if they live that long will be. Golf is a gentle lifelong activity, most other professional sports carry a few years, on average, at the top level. Apples and oranges, learn the difference.

Nothing. It says Michelle Wie doesn't like to run. Do you? She certainly appears to be in fine physical condition. Ever notice Tiger's physique? You don't get that without effort. Golf is every bit as much a sport as any other. Except hunting, THAT is not a sport...

Well, westside, most people think that fooball is a sport but name me one position that could compete Bolt or any of the other sprinters. You just can't compare sports with other sports. Each sport tskes a different dicipline to compete and be successful.
Here is Merriam-Webster definition:
: a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina

This article failed to mention that a reporter snapped the shutter in Tiger's back swing which created the bad swing.

The author of the article also failed to mention that Tiger only had 4 bogeys through 72 holes and the course is not an easy course.

By the way, I think I should mention that Lorena Ochoa slammed her driver into the turf during her tournament this week in Mexico, creating two huge divots. Didn't/haven't heard a word about this incident even though it was on the Golf Channel.

Goes to show, everyone has a temper and they vent in various ways.

Yep, and she also slammed her ball into the green or, maybe , the fringe but you know what, thats just being mad at yourself, not bad sportmanship. How often have we seen a baseball player throw is bat after a stikeout etc. Now, Tiger does need to hold on to his club when he slams it into the grass so no spectators would get injured. I got a kick out of how the spectators just took it instride.

That is precisely my point. There was that 59 year old guy who almost won the British open, after getting a pass from the nursing home, he probably was wearing Depends underpants and drinking Ensure Plus with Fiber!
LOL

There was a CBS sportswriter online who brought this point up (and I don't feel like going to search for the article), that golfers should be embarassed that a 59 year old almost won the British open.

If you look at the NFL, at the running back position, the life span is so short for starting RBs, for most RBs by the time you hit 30, you are usually on your way down already. To find a starting/feature RB at the age of 40 would be pretty damn rare. 59 years old!! That would be impossible. That just shows how wimpy Golf is.
Call it just a "game", not a sport, and put it in the entertainment section of the newspaper, not the sports section.
