Pebble Beach produces classic U.S. Opens
#1 Jun 12, 2010
The weather will dictate play. There is no denying the grandeur of the setting and several of the ocean-side holes, but most of the course is inland and rather mundane at that. PB, set in the middle of Illinois, wouldn't even be discussed. It was nice to see Miller win again a few years back, and of course Tom Kite. I suspect the PGA though an alien from Mars had landed after Tiger whomped the field by 15. We shall see. I would have preferred a different venue.
