That is a real breakdown in security. This kind of obnoxious behavior is way too common at sporting events in NY. It should not be tolerated at an event like the US Open and everyone else would have been much happier if they had been quickly given the boot. Instead we are embarrassed.

Buying a ticket doesn't give license to verbally attack the players -- most of the loudmouths couldn't tell the difference between a wood and an iron.

Really speaks to the suggestion that beer not be sold at public events -- if you need to get loaded to "enjoy" a sporting event, you're really not valued as a fan -- just go home and clean your place, it probably really needs it.
