Charley Walters: Vikings-Packers insider foresees a close game

Full story: TwinCities.com

For 16 years, Mike Eayrs was the brainy numbers guy for the Vikings. Eayrs fed statistics, variants and formulas into sophisticated computers that would digest the information, then spit out tendencies that could be used by his team to win football games.

Everyone deserves second chances. People make mistakes especially young people. I hope Maturi allows him to play. Second, weird how Dougie goes to the rangers and so does Gabby. Wonder why minnesota couldnt sign him. I cant wait until he gets hurt and the rangers get to pay him to get massages.

Shooter, you continue to be a GREAT source of sports information. Your columns always seem to pick up interesting tidbits on both local and national sports scene. Just this week you told us about Jim Lehman, Chris Coste, Howie Schultz...today it was John Harris and Tim Herron. Keep up the good work, when, and if you ever retire, the Minnesota sports fans will sadly be the losers. Continued good health and motivation for helping us sports fans enjoy, "the wonderful world of sports". Keep up the good work !

what I would like to ask the Huckster is how he feels about ruining Eric Deckers career and life? HOW DOES IT FEEL TO USE A YOUNG MAN AND DRIVE HIM INTO THE GROUND!! The Huckster personally has driven this team into the ground. Now he must have forced Decker to keep playing when he was clearly injured beyond belief! Decker would have been a top 10 selection. Now he will be a 4th rounder at best. YOU COST HIM 20 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

FIRE THE HUCKSTER!!

Whoa!! Easy, killer.

First of all, Decker was NEVER a top 10 prospect. In fact, just days before his injury, he was ranked by Kiper and a couple other big draft gurus as a late 2nd/early 3rd round prospect. He has good size and hands, but lacks the rare speed of the elite prospects. Top 10 was NEVER in the cards for this guy. Top 10 amongst **receivers**, but not top 10 overall.

As for your ugly, hateful, accusations that Decker was somehow 'forced' into playing hurt, you are completely irrational. For proof, you need only read Decker's own words here:

http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/sports/Eri...

Last, who said his NFL aspirations are ruined? Brandon Stokely (Broncos) and Ted Ginn Jr.(Dolphins) suffered the same injury, and both recovered fine.

Seriously, you sound a little 'off'. Maybe it's the meds you're off of. Go take some and chill out.

Its the Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejuene where Litzau is fighting. The army base is located at Fayetteville, up the road about 90 miles.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Taurus

Friends and partners aren't behaving as you would like today. They're eager to go their own way, much to your annoyance. In order to get round this you're going to have to ask yourself some tricky questions, such as whether you're trying to control everyone's behavior or whether they're being inconsiderate in wanting to do their own thing. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so maybe you should all release the tension by making it a super New Year's Eve celebration?
