I am not sure why this was ever published. As with so many articles in the past, this seems to an attack on Phil Mickelson (or Lefty as he once again addressed as). Are right handed people addressed as Righty? There is also always a comparison to Tiger Woods.
It would simply be refreshing to read an article about Phil Mickeslon where he was not referred to as Lefty or compared to Tiger Woods. If this ever occurred, then this could really be considered creative jourrnalism and not simply a form of plagiarism (since I can not once remember an article about Phil where Lefty and Tiger have not been included).
If a writer is going to publish an article, she/he should try to do it with some dignity and class. If it is the intention to demean an athlete, and in this case one of the best golfer in the world, simply because he is left handed, then is it time for the writer of the article to re-think her/his words. Words in the press can be powerful. A writer should not intentionally demean anyone for the sole purpose to inflate her/his own ego. A writer has a responsibility, use it wisely.
