Wie has played 35 holes of outstanding golf in this tournament. She's still in contention.

This season, lots of hope and good golf, but seems to find ways to shoot herself in the foot. Has not shown championship mentality to win......So far.

Dean Wilson can make a comfortable living on the PGA Tour, along with Parker McLachlin, but neither are top-shelf PGA players. They are strictly second tier. Michelle, however, has the game to be on the top shelf in the LPGA. Which is better? Cannot make the comparison. Two very different tours. Its a matter of choosing your preference. I choose to follow Michelle and the LPGA.

The third round is typically her choke day. I wonder why. So far, she is two over for the day and has dropped to 31st place. I hope this will be a different kind of third round and she can turn it around and make a lot of birdies.

Ha Ha, now she's 11 shots back. Some chick shot a 62. Michelle can't finish a darn thing. I'd hate to be her boyfriend. Ha!

She ended yesterday's round in a bad way, and is continuing that mediocre play through the first 11 holes in today's round. Wie has so much talent, but she just doesn't seem to be able to keep her mental state on an even keel. Until she learns how to do that, she will not win or be the great player that everyone hopes and expects.

Wow... you seem way too happy to see a young american teenager struggling. Ted Nugent was a true american, and would puke to find out guys like you were using his name. He doesn't want to be associated with negative losers in life like you.

Michelle will eventually win. Everything has to fall into place since there are too many very good players out there. Nobody right now dominates like Annika (maybe Ochoa) so a lot of players including Michelle have a chance. Even without her endorsements, she is making a living that is nothing to sneeze at.

She just seems to always have a stretch or round that derails her out of contention, that coupled with a player or two just ends up shooting lights out in particular tournaments.... like Yi this week, she hasn't even made that many of the cuts, and now all of a sudden is going ballistic.

Michelle just needs to stop the errors, or needs to have a career low round like some of these LPGA players seem to do each week. Tomorrow would be a great time to shoot her career low, maybe a 60 or so?? She had so many birdie putts today, just didn't make em...too bad, but no worries, she's gonna win multiple times in the next '20+' years...that is how many more years of golf she has left after all.

She had some birdies at the end to help herself today. She has some monkey on her back on Day 3. Do they make the pin placement more difficult for third rounds? I think her putting wasn't good today, just trying to remember how many putts she took on Days 1 (27?) and 2 (31?). If that's accurate, she took 33 today.

The problem is that it is not just one player shooting well. I think there have been nine rounds UNDER 65 at this event! Lets face it -- the course is playing easy for these players. After all, over 80 players were under par in the first round.

Michelle will probably do well tomorrow because there will not be any pressure on her -- she is out of it as far as winning. She tends to do well when there is no pressure, but she folds when the win is within reach. She never learned how to win!

But, hey, she got all the money, right?

I agree. Wie ALWAYS chokes. Wie is just another Anna Kournikova. Wie makes a lot of money but will never win in a LPGA Tour Event IMO.

My daughter is just fine, thank you.
She models her up and down rounds after Phil Mickelson. I must say she is spot on with that.
BTW Anna could never get into Punahou or Standford.
She's a blond! LOL.

And if she folded you would have taken the second half of your post and say the same thing. You're a typical phony jumping on the band wagon only when it's appropriate.
Under pressure she had a fantastic back nine. The only thing that folded was your credibility.
