Doug Barron suspended for performance-enhancing drugs

Doug Barron became the first player to be suspended by the PGA Tour for violation of the tour's Anti-Doping Policy's ban on the use of performance-enhancing substances, the tour announced in a statement on Monday.

There is a lot more to golf than just power hitting. Accuracy and skill come to mind right away.
When will athletes get the picture?

That's ridiculous. He took a drug for a panic disorder, those are prescription drugs, prescribed only by medical doctors. Suspending someone for taking a legally prescribe medication that allows them to live a full life is inane, insane and immoral. You have to be living in a sort of hell to get to a point where you need medication to handle daily life, to tarnish someone for doing what millions of other people do every day is overkill. And I hope legally actionable. People need to be encouraged to get help with medical disorders not "fired" from their jobs for seeking help.

Beta Blockers are a banned substance! People take beta blockers for migraines -- who sets the PGA policy. I agree with gene -- this is ridiculous, and the PGA should be ashamed of itself.
