Nice article John. Applicants who enter at the pre-qualification level pay $2500 to enter and if they are successful and move on to the first stage they must pay an additional $2500, which is the full amount they will pay if they play in all stages of q-school. Players who are elegible to begin the qualifying process at first stage and beyond will pay lower fees. Note the due dates for entry fees.

Also, in regards to John Douma. Last year John moved thru the first stage with ease, but 3 days before the start of second stage he had an appendix operation, which prevented him from playing. John has been trying to qualify for the big Tour since 1998. Also, John is one of the top money winners on the Gateway Tour in Phoenix, where he has been playing for the last several years.(Gatewaytour.com )

Goofy sport; hit a little white ball around while dressed up like someone from Watts, then gather at the 19th hole and become more foolish.
