British Open may reconsider age limits

TURNBERRY, Scotland - Tom Watson was among the British Open champions whom the R&A consulted when it decided the game was getting younger and it was time to lower the age limit to 60 for winners of golf's oldest championship.

I agree that age limits should be put on golf pros when AND ONLY WHEN age limits are put on politicans! What good for the goose.....

As long as an individual can qualify to play there should be no age limit Maybe there should be some type of test for the people who suggest there should be an age limit

what kind of sport is it where a 59 year old could compete?!
Look at the NFL, like the position of running back--pretty much once you hit the age of 30, you're then going downhill, with a few very rare exceptions. But you are definitly done being a starter/featured running back by the time you are 40. Look at golf, you got golfers in the 40s, 50s, and that 59 year old guy in the British Open, that's just proof of how ghey a sport golf is, if you can even call it a sport
