Tom Lehman won't be just a ceremonially exempted golfer for next week's PGA Championship at Hazeltine National.

Herron is clearly deserving for an exemption. As the article alludes, Lehman was from Minnesota whereas Herron is from Minnesota. It is obvious that the majority of the twins money goes to that quartet - they are the key players, so the good news is that the team isn't throwing good money after bad players.

Tom should feel lucky he gets to play at all. And he should worry about just making the cut. Just because T. Watson played well in the Open doesn't guarantee Tom anything as far as his play. I know he is a local but this is too much.

Visiting teams don't bring as many players. Home teams put every walk-on, injured guy they can find. It is still a wide disparity, but we don't want the visitors to have a nice time here, they should hate coming here, hopefully because the Gophers play tough too.
