Well, I really think this is silly. There have been a number of young golfers who turned pro very early in their life and, except for Wie, where are they today? Missing golf at the high school and college level is the wrong way to go, imho. Of course, money talks so who can argue??????

While I agree that college level golf would add to anyone's experience base, and I was hoping Lexi would go that route, I think she has a very solid amateur history, perhaps even more impressive than the pro you mentioned, which should give her a good start. And where are others who have turned pro at an early age? Well, they have won multiple pro events, including majors.

Name me one who started at a young age that is having a successful career, LPGA or PGA. Not just one or two wins but multiple wins and is rated in the top 10 in the Rolex standings. Sponsor money doesn't count.
