Mickelson had suggested "drastic changes" were in store for him because of changes in federal and state taxes that he says tap into more than 60 percent of his income.

I back Phil 100% on taxes He has worked hard starting at a young age, no reason to back off of his tax statement...I moved out of Calif years ago because of taxes..

Exactly. He worked for his money as does everyone else. Every year he has to go on tour, make endorsements and appearances etc for that kind of money. He also has to practice being one of the best in the WORLD at what he does. He didn't get this money in a vacum. I'm sure he has investments but he still must manage them along with paying taxes on them.
All that aside- Paying over half of what you earned in taxes IS absurd. No apologies or regrets required for the pc crowd or those filled with more class envy than an ambulance chaser at an accident scene.
