The ol girl should practice don't ask & don't tell and she wouldn't have these troubles. Kinda like going to a Klan meeting an telling the boys your a Muslim. Needless to say it would have been in your best interest to keep quiet. As a jury member I'd make sure she wouldn't see a dime.

It's nice to be the first intelligent person to post on this issue. I don't know if Brenny's sexual preference was an issue here, but it sure sounds like the U crapped the bed in this matter.

well of course she should sue. otherwise she'd have to accept that maybe her performance wasn't up to snuff.

Does she really think that the liberal, tolerance U of M would fire her for being a lesbian? Really? Maybe if she were straight I could see it but not that. I think "yeah sure" has it nailed - poor performance.
really

Maybe Maturi should be the one to be let go. He can't control the men's basketball program, the football team is pretty shaky. Let's get a athletic director that knows what is going on.

I'm gay so I have the right to sue anybody who is straight because they're discriminating against me.

Why is it always about some gay / lesbian idiot who thinks the straight world owes them something? Here's a thought: go neuter yourself and save everybody from hearing your cheese and whine. Because nobody CARES!

Maturi hires a head golf coach that doesnt even run practice or coach during tournaments....instead the guy continues his professional career and hires his son-in law to be the golf coach, who doesnt have a degree.......sounds pretty shaddy.

I hope she wins the lawsuit and Maturi is let go by the new president in 2011.

I believe the following quote can be more clearly defined:
"I later learned that I was discriminated against because of my gender and sexual preference"

In other words, "I later learned that I can find an attorney who can spin in this in a way I can make a few bucks!"

Anyone who thinks that the major university sitting in the city with one of the highest gay populations would discriminate in a sport with a high gay ratio strictly based on sexual orientation is asinine!

Money money money money.....MONEY.

Beats working.

Plus she gets her picuture in the paper to either

A. find some dates or,
B. make everyone ask...."Her? She doesn't "look" like a lesbian!!"

C'mon.....you all THOUGHT it.

Or "Too bad she's on the other team".

Yeah, right. You KNOW who you are.

If you don't know the details, shut up. It could be she has a legitimate complaint.

Another scandal in Gopherville?

Just handle this the same as you do the rest of them. Cut the woman a check big enough to allow this to be swept under the rug.

Let me just say this. Maturi's track record speaks for itself. He should
be fired on the spot. he has made one blunder after another. Get rid of
him.
Does anyone have his email address? Please post it.
