As you may know, it is now springtime; this is the perfect time to take out your golf clubs and start swinging them. One thing that you can be sure of is that this season is a completely new season, a fresh start for you to play. The most important factor of golf is how you hold the golf club.

The basic principle on how to hold golf club is to make sure that your club is being held by your fingers and not in your palm. Your best golf clubs should just be able to touch the base of your smallest finger and at the same time rest on the joint of your index finger. This is the right way of holding your golf club. How you grip the club is the most important aspect of golf so you need to make sure that your lead hand is able to support your club. Do remember to also cover your thumb depending on your lead hand. This is essential in order to get a firm grip on your club.

Grip pressure is a sticky subject to write about. When talking about how much pressure to use when holding a club, the answer from most is usually a neutral grip. I have heard people swear that they play better golf using a strong grip. I would say that this is possible for some but I would not recommend it. Strong and weak grips are a common cause of slicing and should be avoided. Keep a neutral grip to ensure that you have the best opportunity to hit the ball straighter.

Remember when you are trying out different hand positions that you should never hold a golf club the "proper" way if it means it will cause you discomfort. You should start by holding the golf club face open to the ball. If you are a righty, place your left hand on the club from taylormade irons for sale online store first and grip it with a moderate grip. Make sure that there is enough room at the top of the club so that you can place your right hand on. Once you have the club with your left hand, place your right hand on the club and make sure that your pinky, middle, and ring fingers cover the thumb of your left hand. If you are a lefty, simply switch hands.

When swinging, it is always good to have as little movement in your wrists as possible. You should look at your left thumb. If you are gripping the club correctly, it should point straight down the shaft of the club. Try swinging the club a few times to see if this technique works. You will notice that your wrists will tighten as you try to keep it straight. For left-handed players, simply switch hands.

Then as you practice, you can reinforce the proper form training your muscle memory and giving you a more consistent performance. A square stance gives you the best chance of hitting your ball straight. One of the easiest ways to line yourself up for a shot is to picture railroad tracks going right to where you want to hit the ball with callaway diablo octane. Then picture yourself standing on one rail of the tracks and the ball on the other rail, and you're lined up and ready to swing.

Always check yourself before taking a swing, because in golf more than in any other sport, the tiniest adjustment can make all of the difference in the world. And the club you're swinging makes a big difference too; so invest in the best clubs that you can afford, and make sure that they fit you properly. They should come up to about your waist.

Another tip I can give you is make sure that the clubs you play with are the right size for you. To test this, stand the club straight up and down; it should come up to your waist. Remember to always keep your head down when swinging at the ball or you will have a horrible shot each time.
