Hooking the ball is a very common problem, for the beginning golfer all the way to the experienced professional. In this article I am going to share with you some tips that you can try which will teach you how to correct a golf hook shot. By doing this, you should be well on your way to better shots and lower scores.
The main reason a golfer hooks the ball is due to the club faced being closed at impact. This means that when you come down in your swing and connect with the ball, the club face of best golf clubs is pointing towards your body. Basically this is what happens: The closed position of the club face imparts counter-clockwise rotation of the ball. When this happens your ball may look like it's going straight at first, but then it will start to hook. The severity of the hook will depend on how much your club face was closed at impact.
To stop hooking the golf ball the first thing you need to do is open your stance. This means for a right handed golfer having your left foot about an inch further back than your right. This will enable you to swing more across your body which will counteract the right to left spin that you have been putting on the ball. This should help straighten out your shots with taylormade irons for sale by reducing spin.
You will want to focus your attention to your posture. Hold your club out directly in front of you. If you stand too upright, your swing may tend to be a little too wide and your hands may become a little to active coming over the ball. A good drill to correct your posture is to hold the grip end of your club level with your belt buckle, effectively making a "T" with your body and the club. Now hold your arms out and extend away from your belt buckle, then bend over until the club hits the ground. This will give you the proper posture to hit the golf ball.
Try to weaken your grip; this is because you probably are playing with a very stiff or tight grip on the callaway diablo octane. The best thing top do is to rotate both hands around the grip or catch and towards the target line. That makes it very hard and impossible for the clubface to close through the hitting zone. Over doing it is disastrous just like not tasting so taste and do it partially. Unless your had you hook but you were playing with a weak grip taste this first. This is another golf hook cure
Last but not least, you must monitor your hip action. While it is good to start the downswing by rotating your hips toward the target, you can overdo it. When this happens, you will either hit a high push the right, or a low snap hook. Make sure to monitor your hip rotation if you want to learn how to correct a golf hook shot.
