You know if someone would actually take the time to explain how these games work exactly, these businesses might actually gain citizen support.

People like myself that read this and don't understand exactly whats going on and why, have trouble really caring about this issue.

Gambling, entertainment, sweepstakes. None of this makes sense to those that have never partaken of the business.

At present, for me and mine. It's a non-issue.

-a-a-a- I work in a internet cafe and have had many individuals to visit for the first time just to see what all the fuss is about. Why don't you visit a local cafe and let the employees explain to you how it works..you will have a better understanding and we would love to have your support. I as well as my co-workers are not looking forward to the day we lose our jobs. Thanks for everyone who supports this issue!!!!!!

Glad to see these places go. They are drug dealer and user havens. I have watched on in Asheboro several times and saw countless drug deals go down out in the open.

I agree! When will the poor and middle class get it through their head that there is no brass ring.. Poor and lower middle go to these places and hope for a return on their money --yea right! We are spoiled into thinking that we WIN!! Sometimes we don't and when you've thrown away your food stamps and your kids college fund then you look for an escape for what you just did--Drugs & alcohol..

I also know that some of these cafes are bringing in better than 100,000.00 a weekend! Know Thats Entertainment. The people at the cafes that Ive seen didn't have Rolls Royce,Ferrari nor Porsche parked in front of them. So whose money was this!?

I grew up in the projects of High Point. I fed off the tax payers food stamps(Thanks to you guys) when my mother did'nt sell them. I remember the card games and the TIP boards, That went on in our house/apartment.

What did I learn --well, I learned not to drink nor gamble. I learned that I need to pay it back-served my country. Came back got my JOB and I am WORKING It & another. I am know the one paying the taxes because I will not be lazy-like my mother. Go out Get mine and KEEP IT!

Just my humble opinion, But we are a free country do what you will.

I totally agree, also people who are on welfare, unemployment or just not working spend their $$ on this, booze and drugs and not their kids, or other responsibilities and then complain about not having any $$! Glad to see them go!

If these places are so worthy of our support, why is it that you nor anyone else will simply go on to this thread and post how it works? Going to your local internet cefe is not an answer. Answer the question...HOW DO THESE PLACES WORK AND WHAT BENEFIT IS THER (IF ANY) FOR THE "CUSTOMERS"?

Get a real job!!! What kind of job is there anyway in an internet cafe?!? I have a real job with all the benefits-401k, Corporate sharing, stock incentives, vacation, sick pay, and no trash comes in our buildings, etc. Why don't you morons look to invest your money to get a return on it instead of a pipe dream of getting rich!!! Thank God for the ban!!!

So you are saying you are not capable of going to one of these places to see for yourself how it works.
HOW DO YOU SPELL MORON?????????
I am not saying that I can not go there. I was trying to give the opportunity for someone to explain how this works, but yet again, you can not/are not wiling to disclose how these businesses work. I think that makes a loud statement about the legitimacy of these types of businesses!

Like with getting rid of the Dry County Laws.. The only ones that support Dry County Laws are Preachers and Bootleggers.. In the event of the Internet Games I think the Bootleggers are staying out of this one.. I think that when a preacher, Minister or Priest use their Bully Pulpit Political Ends they should have their Properties Taxed like anyother business.

Amen Brother, you just said a mouth full. I've never played them, nor do I intend too, but if I choose to play it should be my own decision, since I make my own money (whats left after the Government takes it legal part). Gov. Bev.(a wasted vote on my part)is just afraid of a little competition against the NC Lottery. Soon as they can figure out how to tax this Business, it will be very welcome in this State. For those who speak negative about the ones that play it, mind your own dam nosy butt business, as long as it doesn't cost us anything for them to play.
