Senora del Campo was a founder of the Red Cross El Paso and Vice Chairman in 1913, when she helped organize a significant medical response to the battles. She received glowing praise from Chairman H.E. Stevenson in a letter to headquarters: "It affords me much pleasure to ccommend the work done, on behalf of the Chapter, by Mrs. Y. Del Campo, our Vice-Chairman. Her wide acquaintance and friendships amongst all classes of the Mexicans in Juarez, proved of valuable assistance in securing prompt action upon any requisitions or demands made by us of those in charge in Juarez."
