Why are table games illegal?

Because although they exist in other states, Pennsylvania doesn't have any idea how to regulate them. They're too stupid.

Now that the casinos are open isn't it amazing how they don't even have to do their own marketing anymore? Gamblers who see nothing but their own greed will trash everything to feed their addiction, including the rule of law, our state constitution, elected representatives -- every part of our democracy.

No, table games will follow but there are certain, uh, arrangements the casino brass have to, uh, handle with Harrisburg.

As I recall the citizen incentive for allowing slots was the promise of property tax reduction.
We all see how that is working.
The extra revenue to the state seems to have evaporated just as the property tax reductions have.
Beyond the benefit of some additional employment,I fail to see how any increase in casino activity would be of a any benefit to the citizenry.
Certainly none from the extra state revenues generated as recent experience shows,

The Sands has been open for only a little more than a month. Did you realy expect any immediate tax changes. You treat the "bennifit of addational employment" employment as a minor thing. GUESS WHAT !!! it's a BIG THING !!.When are you" stick in the mud nay- sayers" gonna a realize that the Casinos haven't hurt a thing. And Please , don't tell me about the Addiction thing, If you want to go there ,you might want to start with eliminating Alcohol and Cigarettes, take these two thing away and the state will go completely broke from loss of tax revenue. If that should happen , people like you would be the first in line to complain about tax increases.

Libra

Happy New Year, Libra!. How's that poor old body feeling this morning?! If you're having a gathering, include casual acquaintances or newcomers as if they were one of the family. You're a real social animal and you know how to put people at their ease. This is a wonderful talent: not only do you have a network of friends and social contacts, as well as business ones, but you have the ability to bring others together. Perhaps you should start a dating agency this year!
