It's called sex and producing farm helpers. Mom who lives 120 yearsish has a baby every yearish while the 1st baby grows to be 11-14ish and has babies and on and on. It ain't long and that farm is crawling with babies and adults.
Jeez, Junior. Do you have any idea what the odds of a woman giving birth to 10 children is under primitive medical conditions? Not so good. Surviving 120? Practically nil.

Plus the survival rate of children under such conditions are pretty poor.

Throughout most of history, despite all the offspring, humans barely managed to grow the population. In other words, the average number of surviving children would have only been slightly more than 2.
JRS wrote:
And you have no clue how big the tower was. Only that it represented something that they WERE going to try.
I have to disagree with you on both of these. For one, the tower was not a little two story job. If it was, God would have leveled a great number of buildings.

As for "try"...Genesis 11:5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children built.

So they either were building it, or had built it...according to your inerrant Bible.

Thus your claim
"It would take a LOT of people to build such a structure. After all, look at the Egytians' efforts on the pyramids. My question....
Where did all the people come from?"
is nothing more than deliberate attempt to paint a false invented picture and scenario that fits your contemptuous agenda rather than reality of what was said.
Sorry, but a couple of men are not going to build any sort of large, substantial tower.

Strikes me that you are just making rationalizations after having your nose pushed into the practical problems of the myth. Which is all it is, an allegorical story about pride...just another way of saying "pride cometh before the fall". A little fictional morality play.

Don't ya just love god hating evolutionists. They are allowed to wax all eloquent and profound sounding even if they haven't got the faintest clue about what they are babbling about.

Why, "Darwins Stepchild" is even an expert on the human race just after the world wide flood (that he denies even happened) "the average number of surviving children would have only been slightly more than 2."

Wow. 2 children survive - on average - in Noah's life time

"Darwins Stepchild" took his vast amount of child life data just after the world wide flood human population that he gets in his Mcdonald happy meals - crunched the numbers - and determined: "the average number of surviving children would have only been slightly more than 2."

Curiously these people "under such conditions are pretty poor." kept incredible records of child mortality and passed them down through thousands of years to "Darwins Stepchild" so he could determine "the average number of surviving children would have only been slightly more than 2."

In actuality, it is you without the faintest clue. You don't understand the calculations involved so you make fun of then. Why don't you just try to refute it Einstein?

Oh, that's right. It would involve counting on more than your fingers and toes.

There is, however, one very big difference between those you quote and Darwin.

Darwin studied extensively. He was, even before the his book was published, one of the most respected naturalists in England.

Almost all of those you quote did not study biology to any depth at all.

Ergo...even if Darwin failed to finish medical school, it says nothing about his qualifications in biology. That he studied natural history extensively, does. That YOUR sources did not study biology at all says something about their qualifications...to talk about evolution and biology. They may be experts in other fields, but they certainly are not experts in biology.

That, sir, is the big difference.

AND...try reading some modern biologists...experts in the field. They are almost universally accepting of ToE. All your quotes from engineers and physicists and philosophers don't make a dent in that fact.

oh wow, a copy and past with a fill in the blank for my name as opposed to a rebuttal to what I said. It almost seems like this post was prepared in advance for any generic criticism of your thread.
your words have hurt me, i would advocate against using such hateful comments towards ones opponents by anyone, even towards creationists.

Right...because all of them were really professional biologists...NOT.

You keep quoting physicists, astronomers, mathematicians (not that there is anything wrong with mathematicians...but they aren't experts at biology).

And while this is all true, the real issue is that you don't deal with evidence, you deal with opinion. Your only way of dealing with evidence against your position is to claim it doesn't exist...even when it is presented directly to you. And you certainly don't present evidence to support your own position.

Job 38
The LORD Speaks
3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.
4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
Oh, so the earth has a foundation? Really? Care to point it out?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-
And a cornerstone? For a sphere? Really? Care to point it out?
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?
8 "Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
Care to point out where those doors are?
10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
11 when I said,'This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt'?
And bars, where are those bars?
12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,
13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?
Care to point out the earth's edges?
14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal;
its features stand out like those of a garment.
You mean a flat disk?
15 The wicked are denied their light,
and their upraised arm is broken.
16 "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death [b]?
18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this........
I have to admit, you showed very well just how bad the Bible is on scientific matters in one little quote. It shows just how little those *men* who wrote these verses knew about the *real* earth and oceans.

So granma Noah was banging out babies every year for 120 years until there were enough people to build the Tower of Babel, and you want US to provide fossils of Nimrod and Noah and evidence of their lifespan.

That was an entire kitteh basket.

Got around the problems of your "flood theory" yet?

Didn't think so.
