According to the now-ancient movie "Hackers," the most commonly used passwords are love, secret, sex, and god.

Great points regarding additional image verification methods and security questions. Some newer password managers implement these techniques to help protect users. For example, Mitto (http://mitto.com ) integrates one-time codes that are sent as text messages to your cell phones each time you log in from an unfamiliar computer. This way even if a person gets your password (through a keylogger or via other means) they can't log in without that one-time code that is sent to your cell phone. Additionally, they implement security questions that requires responses if you want to access certain features within the service.

When you are presented TWO images, the second image has NOTHING to do with passwords.

There is a very large scanning project for old books and the scanners cannot always decipher the words. So the scanner kicks these unscannable words out to the "password generating bots" and you (as a user) are deciphering the words for a private effort (albeit, noble). Your second word is sent back to the scanning project. Funny ehh? Genius.
