yeah mine will charge just wont sync anyone got any solutions to this
I pressed the top of the wheel,(the menu part), and held it down until the apple symbol appeared on the screen. I then connected the charger/sync cable. the sync page appeared and the ipod was getting synced. It worked for me, good luck.

I opened the ipod page first. I held down the top of the wheel,(menu tab),until the apple symbol appeared.I then connected the sync/charger cable to the ipod nano. The sync page appeared on the computer and started to sync the ipod nano. good luck, I hope it works for you too.

did you have your problem fix yet? if not, you can try this. Connect your ipod to your computer, when it say "charing" do this: press and hold "menu" button and the center of the circle till it turn off the screen (reseting ipod). Then wait for it to light back on. Hope that will fix
My Itunes is just stupid I guess. I tried what you suggested and it didnt work. Strange, it has worked and not worked for other people. I wonder why that is? I have heard that it has something to do with Apple's new update for Itunes. Thank you for the idea though! Do you have any others? I would be happy to try them.

My iPod nano gen. 3 isn't syncing with my computer, or has the little charging sign in the battery, and iTunes isn't reconizing it.

Hey every one so my iPod Nano silver 2GB has not been wanting to sync my newest songs. About a month ago I had to get my computer wiped so when everything was good to go I downloaded Itunes again but it does not sync. It will charge thank god but it's really annoying b/c whenever I hit sync ipod it has syncing ipod but it does not add songs or take songs off it just stays where it has been for a very long time. I tried putting it into a different port but it does not wanna work either. Does anyone know why my ipod hates me lol

i too use lime wire and you have to explore the competed songs...then you cut each one and make a new playlist...paste them in there and they will automatically go to your music and thats how you sync then to your ipod.

message me back and let me know idf it works

My 4GB iPod nano capacity show the following Audio 99.2 MB, Other 3.58GB and Free space 6.9MB. How do I clear up space in "other". It is taking up all my memory and I can't sync my itunes purchased.

Right click on your iTunes folder, click on Properties to open the iTunes Properties box.
Under the General tab, unselect Read Only and click Apply.
That will open a Confirm Attribute Changes box. Select the option to "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" and click OK.
Click OK on the iTunes Properties box.
Do the same for any other iTunes music folder you may have on another drive (for example, you may have chosen to store some music on a larger D: drive.)
You may also need to do the same for picture folders or other folders you are trying to sync.

Itunes won't let me syncronise any songs to my ipod nano 2nd generation. I do what is supposed to be done to sync songs, it'll look as if Itunes is syncronising the songs to the nano. I check on my nano and no songs are on it. I'm running Windows XP 2000. Anyone having the same problems or anyone could help me solve this, please email me @ [email protected]
Try changing your resolution to 1024x768 see if tha works.

restart your ipod by pushing the menu button and middle button
at the same time until it restarts then plug in it to your computer
it should work.=]
