State tax credit for solar water installation on existing homes will soon expire unless the legislature acted to renew it. The termination of the the existing tax credit was buried in the bill that mandated solar water heaters on new construction. Hermina Morita should explain why she included that language.
Use power strips on those LCD televisions. They use power even when turned off. If you live in a high humidity location, you may not want to use a power strip on your LCD. Using a power strip on a 26" LCD saves me a little over 1Kwh per day, mulitply that by how many TVs you have to see how much you could save.

yeah yeah
putting up energy efficient light bulbs-CFR
energy star appliances
and even solar water heater which will pump the water up to the roof and heat up the water but all the other stuff like solar voltaic ,wind and all the other stuff are a waste of money compared to nuclear energy

don't fall for the trap of politicians who knows nothing about producing cheap and clean energy for the residents of Hawaii

Excellant information from HECO. They give us the consumer a breakdown per appliance which is very informative. We in Hawaii pay most in the nation per kilowatthour. For them to let us know how much per appliance is there way to let us know when we get our bill the reason its so big is because we use too much of one appliance. Surely its there way of justifying sending us a monthly bill which puts a frown on our faces when we recieve it. Thanks HECO but how about eliminating that fuel adjustment fee that really gets me mad. If you get me angry enough I will switch to you competitor. Opps that right you are the only competitor. (sorry HECO please don't turn me off)
