It disturbs me to see articles on the Internet stating that rabbit ears will be obsolete. That is not a true statement. It is a proven and verifiable fact that rabbit ears will instead be picking up a different type of signal. Analog TV signals will be obsolete (except low-power) and free, over-the-air digital signals will take their place. ANYTHING that is broadcast over the air requires an antenna to pick up regardless of format. The converter boxes that some people will need to continue watching TV need antennas to get free local over-the-air digital channels.
