I cant even finish reading the article. So build single family houses for HUD tenants to destroy, just like they did to Burns Heights? What a shame! Thats our government money hard at work.

Public housing "should be" to help people get on their feet and make something for themselves so they can move on. Not a way of life! The article says one lady who lived there for 44 years! Collecting government money for 44 years?? Nice......... your telling me you can't find a job in 44 years??

OK enough ........ I'm just saying I can't wait to drive by in 5 years and see those beautiful houses destroyed by people who don't appreciate it. Our tax dollars put to good use... NOT!

Don't worry they will all start migrating up into West Mifflin. No where left to live in Duquesne. Why do you think they want to build townhouses up at Westwood.

Well I just drove by those nice new houses - off of Crawford, near Center St, and I see that they are all still up for sale. I guess the HUD recipients cant stop living the life of crime long enough to inquire on how to buy one of them.

I used to live in Burns Heights many years ago. At that time those who lived there had jobs and took good care of the property, cut the grass, painted their apartments, repaired their screendoors, windows, etc.. They purchased their own coal for the furnace to keep warm in the winter. No AC in the summer, just open the doors and windows. Then government came in and said they were making too much money and that this was low income housing so those people had to go.
Once low income or no income people moved in the place went to CRAP.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
