Slow down and that problem you called being pulled over will stop. Ever think of that? What a concept, then the police wouldn't have to stop you. Then again, Boca PD doesn't have anything better to do.

I'm so glad to see that the crime ridden streets of Boca Raton will now be protected with millions of dollars worth of equipment. Why now, the Boca Teeca 7 will no longer try to join al-quida and blow up Macy's. The gangs of armed black youths terrorizing Boca Bay Colony will be thwarted in their efforts. Why, I feel safer here already, and I live in Boynton Beach. Just the thought of Boca no longer being a crime haven, their streets not a lawless jungle on Friday and Saturday nights makes me sleep much sounder.

True The sad thing is Wackenhut could probably police Boca better than Boca PD.

How come Lake Worth Police don't have cameras? They need to update that department.

Wouldn't mind seeing some of the municipalities going to a mix of public/private to help rein in some of the costs, particularly so on accident scene management, cat-in-a-tree, traffic light out, etc., types of calls...

And why do you think that the scenario you wrote of does NOT exist in Boca? Maybe it's because Boca cops do their job. Technology like this will keep criminals out of our neighborhoods!

For you people claiming that Boca cops have nothing to do, why IS that??? Do you really think that criminals cannot cross the Boca/Deerfield line??? Why exactly IS the crime rate so different between Boca and Boynton. I'll tell you why: Boca cops are working to keep crime down in our City and you are GRIPING about it!

I grew up in a small town where the cops had nothing to do but harass kids smoking at the local mall. They were all fat slobs with an attitude. I grew up despising cops.

Boca cops are dealing with REAL crime on a daily basis. They are one of the few forces that are TRULY out there keeping our streets safe. If you are one of the people griping because you got a ticket for running a red light then, baby, YOU EARNED IT! You are part of the Florida Problem. Go speed and run red lights in Deerfield. They don't care.

I hope that these new systems help to keep our Boca police officers safe. They are GREAT responders and have kept our community the paradise that it is. Thank you Boca Cops!

Wow keep dreaming Kris. Have you heard of demographics? Don't ever compare Boca to Boynton because Boca cops wouldn't survive a day in Cherry Hill. Boca does not have the same demographics as Boynton and Boca is a lot wealthier than Boynton as well. Look a Delray and Boynton, similar demographics, similar crime rate. The same can be said for Palm Beach Gardens, Boca, and Wellington.

This is the official crime stats posted by FDLE on how much bigger Boca is than Boynton yet Boynton averaged over 1000 calls more. Look at the violent crimes category of Boynton and Boca. Please don't open your mouth unless you have a prayers clue as to what you're talking about.

Check out Boca's demographics

Nice lily white rich area...Now look at Boynton's.

Just a little different. I don't discredit Boca of being excellent ticket writers, however when it comes to dealing with real city problems you can't compare Boca to Boynton, Delray, PBSO, West Palm, Riviera, and Lake Worth. I'm not a police officer, but after serving two tours in Iraq I know good training when I see it, and Boca just doesn't have it. By the way, I lived in Deerfield and got more tickets there than in Boca. BSO has too many traffic cops in Deerfield. Once again, you don't have a clue on what you're talking about.

Maybe if they spent more time protecting mothers and children rather than pulling them over on their way to school that mother & daughter would be alive today....I hope that the cameras will deter crime because based on results it appears these cops couldn't find sand on the beach. That is why they try to keep all these crimes hush hush
