Brighthouse does all this other crap, but will not put FSN on it's channel lineup. The one and only reason is they will not make money where with all these upgrades, it's money in their pockets and the customer gets it again in the back side. The one and only thing we can do is turn off cable and go to DIsh or Direct TV

We, the residents of Bright House's service areas, are partly to blame for their lousy service. Simply, we don't pressure/demand our state and county lawmakers to award non-exclusive service area contracts. Imagine Bright House waking up to find out they have to actually compete with Comcast, Verizon, et al for our dollar? Competition: a powerful incentive for continuous improvement in customer service (no more "press 1 for English") and overall value. Come to think of it, we could use a bit more competition in many industries, such as electric utilities, POTS telephone, and even government's services.

Now that I've had this DVR software for a week or so, all I can say is RUN AWAY! Quite simply, it's terrible. You can no longer pause live TV. The interface lacks some nice bells and whistles from the last version like the auto-predict when searching for shows, plus all the genres to search by, the PIP sizing, guessing to add time to live events, and many many more. Both comments are right on by saying that we consumers must demand more of companies or take our business elsewhere. I'm not sure the economies of this so-called "upgrade" but it wreaks of lower software fees for brighthouse. The only upgrade is on their bottom line.
