The bad news for the customers is that Cablevision has a long history of disappointing their customers. Right now they are promising this big break through, but in reality its going to be a really lowsey TiVo substitute. Cablevision is going to put really low limits on storage capacity and you'll lose all your recorded shows if you switch companies. Eventually they are going to implement their own forced advertisements so you'll have to watch ads even on recorded shows! Trust me, stay away from Cablevision's DVR.
