Good for you, Mr. Flores! You are serving as a wonderful role model, not only for your sons but for other young people as well. I wish you all the best!

Great!
This story goes to show that one can accomplish whatever one wants to. It simply takes DETERMINATION and willingness to focus on a goal, ignoring immediate pleasures. The old saying,"Short term pain for long term gain vs long term pain for short term gain (a/k/a instant gratification) make good sense.
As a prior Parole and Probation Officer I am convinced that a druggie, drunk or anyone else with an "addiction" will quit ONCE THEY MAKE THEIR MIND UP to do so.
My heardy congratulatons to this guy. You proved that you can do it.

Congratulations on your sobriety and success away from
gangs and the evil they represent.

Gangs and heroin pretty much are the bottom of the dry
well if there's no excape. But you have to try.
And keep trying.

Like Sr. Flores did.

When one puts the bucket into the dry well, one comes up with an empty bucket and usually who ever else was down there, too.

Myself? I prefer to drop pendejo gangsters into the well and not look back...But leave the rope down.

They made a choice and so did I.

But you still have to try to get out.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aries

It's one of those days when you'd be wise to mind your Ps and Qs if you want to avoid putting both feet in it or feeling like a fool. The trouble is that you're finding it hard to think before you speak, and you're rushing into situations without thinking about the possible consequences. All you can do is to apologize and try your hardest not to let it happen again.
