Out of those 40 million, 39,999,999 users reverted back to their previous operating system within the first week.

Windows 8 is shipping with all new machines. Here in NY State it is the only system available. All others have been pulled from the shelves.
People don't have a choice. That's why they are selling any.

I AM reverting back to XP.
I lasted exactly 2 weeks.
Windows 8 is NOT WHAT I NEED.
Windows 8 is a toy for teenagers.
I need outlook express back and I need total control of my system.
And, win 8 has ZERO privacy. None. It's optimized for data collection and advertisers.

Windows 8 is so horrible. I will never buy it. The company I work for has over 100,000 employee's and we are not buying even one copy of windows 8. Windows 8 is 1000 times worse than Vista. Its Vista on steorids.

Windows 8 is a nightmare for any serious computer user, and even at $1.00 a copy , I would not use it. Windows 8 also has built in spyware apps. Windows 8 is an abomination. Its the worst OS I have ever used.

Windows 8 = Vista on steroids !

The article (which I did not read) probably failed to mention that 40M of the 40M licenses "sold" were simply new computers purchased that had Win8 preinstalled.

I don't know a single person that bought Win8 as a standalone product.
