The new boss at Rome Lab maked an intelligent, professional assessment of our nation's future as it pertains to our influence and standing in the world and the picture is fairly bleak.

He also spelled out what steps we could take to improve the picture. However, the odds of our political leadership being able to take the right steps are nil, nada, zip and zero. Instead, they're focused on Obama's birth certificate and Romney's tax returns.

I need a drink.

Agreed...except he isn't the new boss at Rome Lab....a new director hasn't been named yet....an example which I believe supports your second paragraph.

I normally avoid feeding energy creatures, but in this case, I'm rather surprised Jose hasn't called for Rome Labs to be shut down the way he calls for *insert topic here* to be shut down in every topic he/she posts in.
