Microsoft is acting like sales are high because win 8 is so great.
The price was at 14.00 dollars (upgrade) compared to 200.00 for win 7, yes with a cheap price you will see sales high, but take a look at the retailers comments and see how many people can't stand the OS, this was a tool to sell microsoft junk on their store, no great improvements. Other then faster boot which is because they removed glass. Win 8 is worse for 98 percent of high end games, they run faster on win 7.
There is no need for optimize, as windows sends TRIM commands for each delete.

Screw the tablets and stop buying Microshit. I cannot stand 8 at all and don't want a tablet OS. But I guess Steve Ballsack is that arrogant and don't care what users want.
Luckily, there are alternatives. ReactOS is still crap, but maybe if enough anti-8 people can join as developers, something might happen. It is promising and lightweight, but doesn't have all the necessary APIs and standard features. It currently has some drive corruption issues from what I heard and only has FAT32 support. In time, you should be able to use 2003/XP drivers and run XP/2003 software. In time they will add 7 support.
