If you folks stop ranting long enough you will see this is a great plan, and will allow us a choice of energy providers, cheaper and cleaner energy, more stable future prices, increased opportunities and local jobs in green collar workforce and saved costs for complying with greenhouse gas reduction regulations. Charles is my hero. Check out NOPEC in Northern Ohio same plan, and they have saved their 450, 000 customers over $46 million dollars in only a few years. Choice and competition in marketplace is a good thing!

You are repeating youself across marin Energy Authority stories. Following Lenins adage of repeat a lie enough times, and people will believe it,I guess. I grew up in NE Ohio. Ohio gets the vast majority of it's electricty from burning COAL. My great grandfather was a coal miner! I have swum in water filled abandoned strip mines! NOPEC buys electricity produced from coal fired plants in Aggregate. THAT is how they get their cost savings. In the entire country - only Portland, OR and Seattle, WA get less days of sunshine than NE Ohio. They are NOT solar powered! Trying to have an intelligent discussion on energy issues with "Greenies", eco-extremists or anti-nuclear hysterics is like trying to discuss philosophy or religion with "Moonies" or "Hare Krishnas". All circular arguments, faith based "beliefs" and no rational analysis.
