Cheapo horror flick genuinely chilling | The Columbus Dispatch

Some movies are more of a shared experience than others, and that's certainly the case with Paranormal Activity , a micro-budget horror flick about things that go bump in the you-know-what in a nice new home.

I'm going to come out and identify myself as the only person in America who didn't enjoy the movie. Paranormal Activity exactly like Blair Witch Project: it is 85 minutes of annoying, inane bickering between two totally unlikable people with 5 minutes of occasionally creepy scenes, with the last two minutes being really good, except you have to sit through the rest of the movie to get to it. I spent more time checking out the immaculate home furnishings that looked like they were acquired from Kohl's, wondering how they were purchased by people with no discernible means of income. But of course, I have no taste and wouldn't know a good movie if it was staring me in the face, as I've been told by others who've seen the movie, so take my opinion as you will.
