Small town "democracy" at its very worst. A mockery of the First Amendment. Government by tyranny. Someone should sue.

Also, is this really the best use of taxpayer money? To draft and advertise and ordinance to restrict residents' rights? Aren't there any other issues in the town that need to be resolved?

"The behavior of our borough president has improved greatly since the meetings are being recorded," Shuff said.

Reading this article it sounds like the former mayor's behavior could use some improvement as well. It's funny that I've read more about his weekly comments since he's been dethroned than the entire tenure of his time in office.

At least he didn't want to put resident's cameras behind the PA flag so they couldn't record anything.

Abbottstown residents should plan to attend the borough meeting this Thursday night, May 6, at 7 p.m. at the borough office on Water Street. Council is planning to add stringent meeting restrictions to keep residents from commenting on policies before they are adopted.
