These games are going to cost russia in the billions.

the investment in infrastructure will result in more comfort for local population and visiting tourists (as the place is a resort) after the Games are over...Such things can only be profitable for everybody -investors, business, as well as for population ...as for terrorists -they attack anyways, don't they?- it doesn't mean that there should be no construction because of that...

construction of one of railway tonnels from Sochi airport to slalom and ski venue of Olimpics (the ski resort have been there for decades , but now it will be upgraded, new hotels and direct railway line from Sochi airport...
