the reviews have been extremely poor for this phone. In fact, some sites have had the user reviews at 4.8 out of 10. The phone has had its fair share of problems. I checked out what you said zim and the reviews and user complaints is well beyond a joke! some users of this phone have taken their o2 atom xda life phones back a number of times following o2 xda hardware issues and poor o2 customer service. issues and complaints galore about this phone, poor reviews, and user reviews. im sticking to another brand.

Heres a review of sites ive found on the O2 mobile pda phone product. It seems that the feed back received on the net is all but GRIM for the O2 pda xda mobile phone.

whether the phone be an o2 xda atom exec, life, pda mobile phone, they seem poorly ratings. read for yourself internet user reviews. as a tip to avoid lots of heartache, do not buy this brand of phone. You will get lots and lots of trouble with this phone from what it appears genuine users having genuine hardware issues with this o2 atom pda xda phone. Believe me, search the internet and you will find a lot of o2 atom people who are most upset with their phones not working properly.

YOUTUBE VIDEOS of people complaining about their o2 atom xda phones:

CHECK THE FOLLOWING REVIEW SITES: There are 3 models .. the O2 atom, the O2 atom exec and the O2 atom life which are poorly reviewed and commented on by people on the net.

check the other sites cnet and cnet asia.

Well well well, what do you know... i got my o2 back from being repaired.. a product thats been playing up and is a matter of months old and its frozen 3 times today and hard reset itself once without my intervention. This is a product that has been having constant problems including for the service its board replaced, its buttons fixed, its speakers replaced and all the software updated to the latest possible. No doubt the coming days will be interesting but do a simple check of google and you will find O2 atom life complaints to be FULL of complaints about this phone. Its got a lot of hardware issues being discussed, the sites from simple searches and user opinions will give you an indication whether to buy or not. All i can say is i feel sorry for the Germans who have the O2 atom life branded as the O2 XDA Comet as O2 roll out this phone under a different name in Germany. Whats wrong with calling it a life O2? or you still not convinced this phone has problems or you are just rebranding the same trash but in a different country because of the bad reviews on the net by the many unhappy o2 users in the Asia Pacific region. boohooo...

I had trouble with similar issues and someone suggested that I should just update the firmware on my handset. Took me a while to locate it but i found they had updated firmware on the 'downloads' tab at Is this a good idea or unnecessary? Im not sure, haven't tried it yet.

If only I have read all the forums earlier before making the dumb mistake of trusting O2.
If your O2 phone is having a problem, don't bother calling MWG singapore. Why? Well, there is no service at all. The staffs are rude, tactless and very unprofessional. They don't reply your emails, return your calls and they don't have a sense of empathy. I wrote in to them on 29 Jan. Till today, 24 Feb, they have not reply my email. What a GREAT service!!!???

bloody phones they make! I can't believe they even dare sell products like these in the market...they must have school drop outs in their R&D departments. Simply CRAP. NEVER AGAIN will I buy another O2 product!

Blee, I fully agree with you, the Helpdesk absoultly pathetic and they don't really bother and completely lack any understanding of the customers issues.

101% of the negative feedbacks are very true to the core. it not worth its market price and watch out for a bucketful of heartaches and headaches if you already got one. any standards bureau checking on these units before they put a price tag on the market? it isn't cheap and and it doesn't deliver!

I bought this very fone 3 months back and its working in excellent condition uptil now. But I do spend each and every day praying, begging, hoping that it doesnt come up with any issues, hopefully not for the next 2 years. Anyways, BLee...can you give me any contact for Mwg Singapore? Its like the O2 disappeared from Singapore and MWg website doesnt work and lack of customer support is a big issue. Looking to buy a memory card. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Stupid phone was working great, and now it does not like to charge up...and even if it does, the next time I plug in the usb charger, it removes all battery power and I am stuck again!!! Damn you O2!!

Incredibly slow in response, high speed battery drain, full packed features that doesn't really work but an excellent (and too expensive) cell phone! Doesn't even get qualified to be called a smart phone! Just a plain cell phone with texting features! Too expensive really!

Really guys, I thought it was a good brand but at first i was facing problems like hang whenever i answer a call or even endup losing some sms. still i thought it can be managed. but at the end i diagnose the device after that it prompted me to restart the device and its hang for ever in the windows mobile screen.... The price we pay is really this phone dont deserve. for service wise i think blee is right...

I had/have an xda exec from a previous O2 contract. I found the xda developer forum and changed the ROM and Radio ROM, this helped a lot, the PDA ran much better. I now have a Samsung Tocco but use the Xda Exec as a SAT NAV. with TomTom 7 on it.

I think at the very least O2 should replace such poor products with an alternative phone of equal features.

I would not buy another O2 phone unless they sorted the speed issues out and battery life.

dk signing off...

I'm sure most of you don't really know how to use this phone.any phone will crash if its got too much stuff on it,if there isn't enough RAM on it.simply just shut applications down that you don't use & it should work fine.

#20 Oct 16, 2009
Yes Mr qwerty who is from London is right, i have my o2 atom life for about 2 years, and its running with me fine, but when i install an application that takes all my ram, i remove it right away or i shut it down if i need it because it will make my phone response slowly.

What is the deal with this phone? Why cant it function normally and befitting its high price?
I consistently get a "No Service" indication. The same SIM in another handset works perfectly. I have tried every trick bu cant get the damm thing working.
Such a waste of money :(
