Well lets get your facts straight before you write a piece...Dr. John E. Bonine, was arrested on Monday Sept 10th 2007 not Sept 11th.. And for the counts against him his judgement will come, butthis is not ours to decide. I called Jeb my friend. His family is my family. My heart aches for his wife and childeren...however it DOESN"T hurt for him at all. Dr. Jeb Bonine was a good man at one time in his life, but it proves that the man I knew was a fake a fraud a big fat phony. My family has suffered due to his poor choices...I pray for his family and for him I wish well, because what I hear, is that they don't look too kindly on those who have hurt childeren in prison....

John Bonine is my family. He is no fraud or phony, like all of us-he is a child of God. Yes with his position comes higher judgement from society-but lets remember that all sin is equal in the eyes of God. What he did is wrong and he should get all punishment for his crime. He is a Godly man who is HUMAN. This does not justify nor make okay what he has done! I do not support his poor choices individually, but I support him as a former preachor and fellow Christian. In society this is a huge taboo and a sin in the eyes of the Lord, but the Bible teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Jeb is still a good man, but a good man who made a bad decision-but aren't you as well??? Don't wish well for Jeb, pray for his faith and walk as he struggles through what is now his new home here on earth. Pray that he can use this prison as a mission field. Christ taught and witnessed to the murders, theives, prostetutes, and drunks-I pray that Jeb will use what God has given him to minister to the lost souls that will now surround him.

lam his oldest daughter and I loved him like a dad and had all my trust in him but the devil got to him and the devil ruined our family. I believe though that through time my family and I will be okay as for him i pray that he gets what he deserves. Some stuff happened between him and i but luckily i got out of there before it got worse but my mom was the greatest mom in the world if it wasn't for god bringing me to them then i wouldn't be as far in my life as i'am and for that i thank god for my mom and all my brothers and sisters because i love them all but as for jeb im really really hurt and i just pray that like i said justice is served and i thank you all for praying for us and all i ask is that you keep praying for my family we really need it!!!!!!!!

I was an active member of Sierra Heights Baptist Church for a few years. My family and I still consider ourselfs members of the church, although we now live in another country. I know the Bonine family well. Jeb is not only our pastor but a friend. I KNOW this family. His wife IS A TRUE woman of GOD!! And his children will always hold a special place in my heart!
I am not here to post my opinion on what should happen to him or what is fact or fiction. I just want the entire family to know that daily prayers are going up for them all the way from Germany!

I have been attending this church for 3 1/2 years now and i always believed Jeb Bonine was a good man at heart but he made wrong decisions. He knows what was right and wrong and he let it go on for several years. I always knew there was something strange about him. He did alot of judgement on other people around him and put alot of people down. He deserves what he gets and hopefuly he gets his life together. And not let it happen again. Those girls were like my bestest friends we always had fun laughing and joking around and i didnt have no clue it was goin on. i would never think this would ever happen. And i prey for his wife and children which they are going threw alot right now they are being labled for the wrong reasons. I luv you guys and i am here if u need me.

I am fairly certain when Jesus sat at the last supper he never intended for churches to become money machines, commercialized venues for the selling of video and audio recordings of sermons and places for old men to pick up on children. My church is in my heart, you wont find me walking into a Sunday morning service.

Pumpkin needs to know that Pastor Jeb did not
pick up on children at our church. Yes he is a pastor
and he is a child molestor, however the children at
our church were not molested.

I'm so glad the Bible tells me that God has put my sins behind His back. That is true for Pastor Jeb too. There is concern for all involved, but let those who are without sin cast the first stone. Please have compassion for this family......all of them....and not hate.

I knew him and his family well. Or at least I thought I did. Yes, i would also say there was an underlined "oddness" about him. But even though something "Seemed" out of place, he was a kind hearted, Godly man. Can he still be called a Godly man? Can he still be called a good person? So many questions fill my mind. Is he forgiven? I would say yes. However, what is truley in his heart is only seen by the Lord. If it were done to one of my children would I forgive him, probly not. Does it make it ok that it was one of his own? No. However the love of the Lord has taken hold of me in this case. I love his wife & his children dearly.I have an overwhelming feeling in my heart because deep down I forgive him, I dont feel 100% right about that but I do because of what the Lord tells me. God has his hands around everything. Jeb is nothing more than HUMAN living in this world, temtation is around for all of us. EVIL lerks everywhere. It is hard to really trust anyone... Love is all that matters. Seeking God through these times. One day we will all have a better understanding.

Jeb was my best friend at Midwestern Seminary. Every Monday we would go to White Castle around 10:30 and solve the world's problems over a tray full of sliders and chicken rings. He was always on the odd side but I never fathomed this. His oldest is a few months younger than my oldest. I honestly don't know what to think or what I would say to him. We last spoke in June of 07 and he was bragging about his kids. The human part of me is angry beyond belief at him. I keep his wife, his children and the victims in my prayers. I stumbled on this forum when I googled to see if there was any new information. I guess you, nameless strangers are my catharsis.

This Church has had problems for years. This so-called Christian Church allowed my ex-wife (Carol Sue Martin/Christy)to walk down the same Church isle and make the same commitment to another man as she did with me. She is now living in adultery thanks to a Church that enabled her and never tried to point out what the Bible says about this and that she would be living in Adultery. Not one person in that Church ever contacted me or tried to help in any way. Great Christians, ha.

God puts our "sins behind his back" as you state when we repent. I think all of us have compassion for the family but since this so-called man of God has pleaded innocent, I doubt he has repented. We also need to remember what God said about those that would harm a child. It seems to me that many are more concerned about the Pastor than they are his victims. They have to live and cope with what happened the rest of their lives.

Im sorry you are so hurt Bob, Im sure no one saw your side of things, but that doesnt mean they were wrong. Did you know the eldest mr. martin just passed? anyway, maybe it's a different martin family. Sierra Heights has been there for many people. You have to remember we are all human. It sounds like you might be a little bitter. And still very hurt. I will pray for you, as a member of Sierra heights.
1.Quit griping about your church; if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.
2.God Himself does not propose to judge a man until he is dead, So why should you?
3.We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.
4.Don't put a question mark where God put a period.
5.God promises a safe landing, not a cal m passage.
6.He who angers you, controls you!
7.You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.
8.The best mathematical equation I have ever seen: 1 cross + 3 nails = 4 given..
I am witness to the lives changed by the Lord and his children. We have all been hurt and struggle with this life, it's hard to get back up at times and easy to blame others for our hurt. We can overcome anything, through Christ.
