Ive seen all sorts of field workers...not just Mexicans. Id get my ass out there in the heat and pick some damn fruit..whatever it took to take care of my family. At this point I can careless about the Mexicans being in America, its the damn Terrorist from the middle east that Im worried about. We need to go on a mission collecting them and sending them back to their country. As long as the Illegal Mexicans arent coming over here trying to blow shit up... they are cool in my book. We have bigger threats to worry about than Illegal Mexicans crossing our borders. JMHO

Listen man, it's not about sides....it's about common sense. It is pretty clear that many people on this forum are placing racist comments. I agree that Mexicans are hard workers....but we have to be careful because we have a large number of Mexican Americans here in Fresno who do much more than hard labor. Mexican Americans who contribute to society in a positive manner. Let's be careful not be offensive. Think about all the bums on the corner asking for money....what are they.....WHITE.......Mexicans may be selling oranges on the corner....but you will never see them holding up a sign asking for FREE money because they are willing to work....it's the white people who ask for money.

Come on...are you kidding me. This is your argument. I had two White Families in a row who were renting one of my homes. They not only went months without paying....they destroyed the place and I am reasonable enough to know that this experience does not mean that all white families will do the same.

Please.....I worked in the fields in the 80's. I worked there for a good 6 six years. From the age of 11 to about 17. Not once.......not even once did I see anyone who was anything other than Hispanic. I picked oranges, strawberries, peaches, grapes, etc....you name it....... I would like you give an example because your statement is very hard to believe. The only other ethnicity that works in the fields here is Hmong. But they have their own farms that they work. It is a little different for them. But they are hard workers.

You are right....it has been a while since I have been picking oranges in the valley. But you seem to be very knowledgeable in this area. What is it that you do? Are you still working in the fields yourself? Because that would be really sad. Examples.....just tell me what you saw them picking and where.......that's all
