To Wali Abdali and Diba Masoomi, whose beautiful sister, Ms Rona Amir Mohammad, calously and senselessly murdered near where I live, I cannot express enough my deepest sorrow for all of you, especially Ms Rona, who in my eyes is a true heroine.

I call her a heroine, a guardian angel so to speak, because she had a window of opportunity to not return to Montreal where she lived in fear, but she chose to go back for the children. I believe she feared for them as much as for herself and that her love for them and her desire or hope that she could protect overshadowed her own fear.

Ms Rona may not have been the mother who gave birth to these children but her instincts to try to protect them comes from the fierce heart of a true loving mother. I wish I knew her. I admire her so much. She was a very brave woman. I pray they all have found peace now.

Again, I am very sorry for her family to have needelessly lost this most honorable woman. I wish I could tell you in person, but alas, our physical distances are too great.

Sincerely yours,
From Kingston, Ontario Canada
