First of all, this article has nothing to do with anyone in France trying to dictate how we live here in America, perhaps if you would read the article you wouldn’t jump to speculative conclusions. Also, do you really have the need to stoop so low as to resort to the old and tired “we saved them so they owe us” mentality. Not only is that totally outmoded, but also unfounded. The world does not work on a system of IOUs and if it did, we would be even between WWII and the American Revolution. If America has so little collective self-confidence that it must constantly seek self-affirmation in the praises and thanks of other nations then that’s America’s problem not France’s. Both America and France are great countries and considering that we’ve been allies for hundreds of years, whether we thank each other or not is a fairly moot point.

actually i would have let the damn germans kept them, french are worst than our government closer to commies. the worlds needs (other countrys) to take care of themselfs and quit asking for OUR help everytime something goes wrong or another country invades. but hey i hope you outsiders keep up the good work, because everywhere i go and everyone i talk to a storm is coming in the great county. one that'll clean out the trash and start anew. there be no more tax dollars wasted on dead roll people, they'll just be hanged. we had wait less murders in this country when you knew you was going to the town square. yes old west style but it worked. and as for helmets i just guess we americans are just alittle better riders than you guys. just don't tell us what we need or as they say, keep your opinions to yourself.

God but there are some stupid, stupid pieces of ignorant mindless trash on this planet.
Please ride your Harley Fatprick as fast as its wheezing, anemic motor will take you into the back of a parked truck and test-drive just how thick your skull is, you vapid, vacuous putz.:-)

Why did we even bother liberating you from the English, if this is all the thanks we get from myopic, ignorant red-neck dickwads like you ?

Then you could be riding a Triumph with a Cromwell, sipping warm beer and drinking tea, and whining about "teh Fwench" with an idiot English accent.

I'd like to know if the study took into consideration the type of helmet worn and which direction the crash force came from.
There's a reason they make race car drivers wear the Hans Devices.

hey stupid frenchie do you wear your helmet in your stupid little frenchie car. you may need it over here in america we have OUR big red neck 4x4's that drive over anything. so no i don't worry about head injuries, you see my number and yours is in gods book so when its your time there ain't a damn thing you can do about it. but if you frenchie want to be smarter than me look up head injuries you'll see that there's more in cars and trucks and walking yes walking people falling on ice in the winter months and cracking their little heads. but i am sorry i forgot that you french people have little brains so i can see why you would want to protect them. anyone who would let their country be taken over twice by the same people in the same century.

You're breathtakingly ignorant, even for an American, Fatboy.

Why are you so unable to even learn basic History ?
France was never over-run by the Germans in the first war, and all of Europe capitulated in the second, not JUST the French. If you had shared a frontier with Germany in 1940, you would have been beaten even faster and surrendered just as quickly. Make no mistake about it.

I agree with your comment about pedestrian head injuries. Accidents from falling off horses and skiing are also far more massive than motorcycle-related injuries. No-one makes fuss over this.
Bikers are just easy targets for discrimination.

However, again, the report, if you'd bothered to have read it, was MERELY a recommendation and a valid study.
Nobody is telling you what to do, or that you have to wear a helmet. Certainly NOT the French.

If you want to smash your face into the road as you slide off on spilled gasoline or hog-shit around a blind bend and pulverize your thick nut, that's your free-choice.

The only people who would regret this are the medics who scrape you up.

I've ridden for years all around the world, and I wear a good full-face helmet. That's my free choice based on logic, experience and information, as well as the ability to think and reason. I like my face, as well.
It's also the law over here, because sometimes people can be stupid and not think. Why should we pay for their inability to use logic ?

I understand your POV, am sad you don't understand the issue, disagree with your rabid, ignorant and idiot Francophobia, and wish you a good, safe ride.

It is interesting to note that in a study on the effect of neck injuries in conjunction with helmet use the numbers are manipulated. In order to make the numbers helmet friendly, ie; huge profits from helmet manufacturers around the world, neck injuries are excluded from the study. Go figure, big money at work again. People in france must be pretty simple, they would not try that in America.
