Happy Birthday, Antoine de Saint-Exupery
#1 Jul 13, 2009
Le Petit Prince has saved my life so many times. I believe Exupery was a genious at many things, but he knew the human heart. The lonlieness one often feels. I take this book each time I travel abroad and read it on the plane and then give it to someone who appears to need the inspiration it offers. Happy Birthday Antoine de Saint Exupery.

This is one of my very favorite childhood (and adult) books... it's so wise, yet written with such simplicity!

Am I the only one who hated "The Little Prince"?

"Hated" is a big word, but I never managed to finish reading it myself, although it was compulsory reading at school!
I found it boring at the time...
I think the anti-climax came because I had previously read the other books by St Ex. about aviation and adventure.
"The Little Prince" is about philosophy and I was expecting action...
