"My God, if we could get some great things from The Hermitage to be on view at the N.C. Museum of art, how fabulous would that be for the people of the state?" he asked.

Just what I've always wanted to see.

"Department chief deputy Staci Meyer told the News & Obsever that such trips are vital to attracting art exhibitions to North Carolina, specifically citing last year's Monet exhibit."
Who cares about Monet? There are a lot of great artists right here in North Carolina! Stop wasting our money and do something about the state's ridiculous gasoline tax so we can afford to drive to see your dang exhibits.

My gosh, if you could stop being stupid and use the taxpayers' monies wisely, how great would that be?
Thanks a lot, Governor Weasley.

Wow! I've always wanted to go to Greece. I'll get my husband to run for governor, we'll rob all of NC's taxpayers and live it up! This kind of senseless waste has got to stop. Remember this when you vote in November.

It seems reasonable to me. He is the man we elected to do what is right in his mind for our state. I think it is great that he is uplifting NC's reputation in Europe!

I'm not against the arts and I'm not against Europe, but this is excessive. The Easleys could take care of their people in NC first - he's slashed funding for mental health and has been very unfriendly toward state employees.

Easley demanded a S-class Mercedes while in Italy and you paid $16000 for a weeks rent on it. The caviar and wine bill exceeded $50,000. His staff and wifes and girlfriends and kids all went on the NC taxpayers tab.

Sleazy is nothing but a scummy reptile.

The little newspaper in Hendersonville ran this story over a week ago. Why is the Assville paper just now breaking the story?

Explain how a $250,000 or even a $500,000 dollar investment that returns $20 million dollars is excessive.

Would you prefer SC to have $20 million dollars? Try setting aside your emotions and think with your brain.

Where will the $20 million return go? It won't go in my pocket, probably not yours either.

It will go in the pockets of the hotel owners, taxi owners, restaurant owners and all the other local business owners. Again, use your brain.
