A labor of love
#1 May 16, 2011
I am the proud and very happy owner of the 1948 Epiphone B4 that Lonnie and Wendy originally received in five pieces and repaired for the bassist of Counting Crows. I just finished playing "Annie" (Wendy names all her basses) at a five-day old-time music festival in Los Angeles. My blonde beauty exemplifies BassMonkey's painstaking workmanship and love for these fabulous vintage instruments. I am truly honored to be just the lastest caretaker of this functional piece American history; I expect she'll be thumping out hot baselines long after I am gone.
