Er.... accidents never happen in the USA, maybe?

I remember two space shuttles that blew up.

CaptainA, USA buys weapons from France. It's probably something that you do not hear everyday on your news channels there.

Not sure why Americans have that image that France has backwards engineering. Ever been to France? I go to the US often, I have been to AZ many times too (I remember a bar called Patties in Scottsdale, AZ). I like the US, but some things there are backwards!!!

Examples: when I go to France, I land at the super high tech airport of Charles de Gaulle, I take the bullet train that goes over 200 mph, I drive on highways that are super modern and clean, Paris now even has plugging stations for electric cars!! And we already had something similar to internet back in the 80s (the Minitel) that was used for online shopping.
When I go to US, I drive on very rundown highweays with holes, airports are filthy (JFK, LAX, etc), trains are very old, many things run on old technology including those horrible gaz guzzlers. Even La Defense, in Paris, to me is more modern than say downtown New York.

It makes the Americans uncomfortable to think that France builds ships that are more high tech. We sold Greece 15 stealth ships, they wouldnt buy anything from the US. Most satellites in the world are launched by France (fact) with a higher success rate than US. France is the third largest arms exporter in the world. And France had a huge problem with American industrial espionage a few years back!! Your spies would try to steal so many French industrial secrets.

CaptainA I like the US dont get me wrong, I wish French people were more conservative like Americans. Your country has invented many great things. But France is a modern country. Its a shame thats we have these rats the Arabs and the leftists destroying our country's image!!!
